Let's Work Together

The Wanaki Centre's outpatient services are undertaken by it's Mental Wellness Team and work hand in hand with our virtual and residential program as well as offering support to front-line workers in all 9 Algonquin communities.

Mental Wellness Team

The Wanaki Mental Wellness Team (MWT) was developed to provide culture-based education, prevention, and intervention services for Indigenous and Inuit individuals, families and communities. Using strength based practices that include positive identity development. 

Front-line Programming

  • Access to Professional Training to develop new skills in the helping field 

  • Access to post-secondary community-based programs
    (College & University) delivered virtually

  • Support accessing certifications for front-line workers

  • Support accessing cultural teachings and ceremony

  • Access to clinical supervision

  • Upon community requests: variety of workshops given in person or virtually

Provincial services

  • Support accessing provincial services.
